I felt that I should just write and express our family’s thanks for the care you took of mum Doreen.

We could not have managed without you.

Mum loved seeing you and visibly brightened when she heard your hellos as you came in the door. You were unfailingly kind, gentle and good-humoured and it was lovely that you had a laugh with mum and encouraged her through times when she was feeling ill or in pain or anxious. You cared for her as a person as well as doing the messy stuff.

Also, dad and I appreciated your experience and advice about the process we were going through- it felt that we were in the hands of professionals who became our friends in a time of need. The house is very quiet now without mum and without your visits 4 times a day.
