Letting people through your door can be a daunting prospect when you have always looked after yourself and been self-sufficient “Will they take my independence away, I’ve always looked after myself I don’t need help, I’m not sure if I want strangers in my home” sometimes it’s hard to admit we need that extra pair of caring hands.
We are not here to take away your independence we believe in promoting it to give you the confidence to be able to do the everyday things you used to do.
Our support workers will be there to do the tasks you struggle to do and to show you encouragement giving you confidence to live your life and reassurance of being able to stay in your own home with that little bit of help.

I just wanted to say thank you to you and the carers I met at a mutual client today. The carers were lovely when dealing with the ladies needs, they were calm and caring. They supported me with introducing manual handling equipment and helped with decision making to ensure our clients safety. They communicated well with the client, family and myself during a particularly difficult time for all. At no time was the client rushed and she was left comfortable and relaxed.
As you know from our conversation regarding this client and the current situation it has not been easy accessing the resources needed to keep the client safe and well at home. The conversations we have had over the last week highlighted the importance of good communication and joint working.
Thank you and your team once again and I look forward to working with you in the future.

It was lovely to meet you and your team on Monday. Both Lorna and I were very impressed with the enthusiasm for the session and how they all embraced the learning. They were such an interactive group and their discussion and questions reflected their passion and drive for their caring roles. It was evident through the topics we discussed that they, within their care giving are compassionate and not only that respect their clients as individuals but also families as well. It was a delight to be met with a group of people who represent carers so well, wanted to be there, wanted to learn.
